Google has hired a former Amazon.com Inc. executive who worked on the Alexa voice assistant as a vice president.
After leaving LivePerson Inc., which creates chatbots for businesses to communicate with customers, Alex Spinelli joined Alphabet Inc.’s Google. Spinelli joined LivePerson in 2018 after working at Amazon’s Alexa section on the tech that powers the e-commerce giant’s digital assistant.
LivePerson and Google Cloud established a partnership in May to connect their capabilities to make contact center agents more proficient.
Spinelli is involved with a number of Google projects, including TensorFlow, the artificial intelligence software that the company created.
