As a senior engineer, your day look like this;

• Daily standup with your team
• Technical discussions with your team members and other teams (IT architects, other D&A team leads)
• Hands on software development
• Code reviews
• Working closely with solution architects on data platform architecture
• Meetings with stakeholders to understand their requirements from data platform

Required skills;

• Several years of professional experience as data engineer and/or software developer
• Experience with data-streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, etc)
• Experience with Apache Spark or Apache Flink
• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one of the big data technologies (hadoop, cassandra, emr, databricks, avro, hive, etc)
